The Single Mother Advancement Project
The Single Mother Advancement Project (THESMAP) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and advancing single mothers. We recognize the extraordinary challenges many single mothers face while balancing family responsibilities, career goals, education, and financial stability.
Through mentorship, educational resources, career development support, financial literacy initiatives, and community partnerships, THESMAP helps single mothers gain access to the tools and opportunities needed to create lasting success for themselves and their families.

Our commitment to community extends far beyond our organizations. As part of our mission, we provide free career planning and financial consultation services to individuals and families throughout low-income and underserved communities.
